2011 Intrec Golf Day

Friday, 28 October 2011

Fifty four Intrec guests lined up for the Annual Intrec Golf Day on Friday 14 October 2011 at the picturesque St Michael’s Golf Club, Little Bay, NSW. The weather may have been overcast, but the views of the Pacific Ocean were spectacular, highlighted by the passing bye of a number of migrating whales. These gentle giants of the sea put on a show for the golfers lucky enough to be playing the “coastal” holes at the time.

The annual day featured many Architects, Interior Designers and Project Managers with whom Intrec works throughout the year and the golfing round, although competitive was played in great spirits and with many funny incidents occurring in various groups.

Winners of the Ambrose event were Craig Anderson (NRMA), Santo Talarico (CCP Architects), Dan Walter (Wilson Project Management) and Intrec’s Craig Dickson with a creditable net score of 54 5/8 . Diana Lorentz (Powerhouse Museum) took out the Ladies’ Nearest The Pin whilst Sonia Adams (GHD) had the Longest Drive. In the men’s section, Nearest The Pin prizes went to Craig Anderson (NRMA) and Reay Nicholls (Automotive Warehouse) with the Long Drive going to Brett Pedler from Norman Disney & Young. Special mention on the day should be made of Lincoln Godwin (Confluence Project Management) for his efforts in completing the round with one arm in a sling and playing one handed. Well done Lincoln!

At the luncheon which followed the golf, Intrec Managing Director Clint Bragg expressed the Company’s appreciation to all guests who took time out from their busy schedules to join in the day. Clint also outlined some of Intrec’s achievements throughout the year, including a record turnover for the company of over $40.7million from fitouts and refurbishments, an increase of 17% over the previous year, during what had been a most difficult period for many in the business community.
