When speed is of the essence, Intrec is a builder that is up there with the best. At least that is the view of Matthew Clark, Senior Project Manager at Jones Lang LaSalle. The company contracted Intrec to provide a total 460 square metre refurbishment of the Guildford branch of Westpac Bank. The catch was that the branch was only to be closed for twelve working days to avoid disruption to the Bank’s regular customers and its business operations.
Working night and day to accommodate the tight schedule, Intrec staff and sub contractors achieved the desired outcome, notwithstanding that the branch was to be fitted with appointments which featured a new layout type being rolled out by Westpac.
The $780,000 project was managed by John Kopsiaftis, with Stuart King the Construction Manager and George Nasr the Site Manager. Following the handover on 8 August 2011, Mr Clark stated that “the Westpac Guildford job was successfully handed over this morning and I wanted to express my gratitude to Stuart and George for a job well done, given some trying conditions at times. The Branch Manager and the Regional General Manager are raving about the results and I believe it sets a precedent for the remaining branches for the Westpac FY11 rollout. There was a blue ribbon cutting ceremony this morning and we have already had positive feedback from Westpac customers this morning”.
“Thanks again to the boys”, he concluded.
For getting the job done, both within tight time constraints and within budget, Intrec demonstrated once again why it
continues to be amongst the builders of choice for Australia’s leading corporate entities and project managers.
