INTREC were nominated by Knight Frank to complete the construction of new offices and training facilities for the Chartered Accounts ANZ (CAANZ) Brisbane office. CAANZ envisions to empower their members to become leaders and shapers of finance and business across Australia and New Zealand. Operating the best practice governance model overseen by Council; CAANZ are trusting, strategic and devoted.

CAANZ wanted to provide a facility for its members that allowed for training in a formal environment as well as a place to provide networking opportunities.

Scope of Work

The construction process included adjustments amongst multiple rooms within the facility, providing 3 distinct areas within the tenancy being a ‘Members Lounge’ for networking, offering 3 separate training rooms with the ability to open 2 operable walls to possible convert the space into one spacious training room and a back house area to house the training and support staff. Architecturally, the project incorporated the use of timber floors, custom designed carpets, herringbone tiling, veneer paneling, bronze mirror walls, aluminum acoustic baffle ceilings, bespoke glazing systems and green walls.

The services component was extensive for the size of the tenancy, with the addition of new package units to service the training room can facilitate up to 80 people, a fulling interactive audio and video conferencing to the training room and boardroom, feature lighting and custom made emergency lighting and custom made emergency lighting to the baffle ceilings, security services with the inclusion of a duress system and hydraulic services to the 2 tea rooms and serving kitchen.

INTREC undertook the works in waterfront place in the CBD of Brisbane. Due to the original design of the building, there are very strict requirements when undertaking penetrations to the floor slabs. INTREC worked closely with the design team, providing solutions and the approvals of the Building Management and Engineers.

To ensure CAANZ intent was achieved Gray Puksand were very detailed and thorough in their designs. INTREC worked closely with Gray Puksand.
