Whether you’re leaving or arriving to Sydney, Downtown Duty Frees are as commonly viewed as the Sydney Harbour!

INTREC carried out numerous fitout and refurbishments of multiple Downtown Duty Free (DDF)outlets throughout Sydney Airport. As is expected all works within the airports (air and land side)was carried out under very strict security and access protocols.

As the DDF’s are at the face of all airport lounges, there was an extremely high quality of workmanship required throughout these sites. The other critical element of these project was the staging of the work to ensure that all works were carried out in a very structured way to minimise disruption & safety risks to all users of the airport terminals. A large component of these projects was carried out ‘outside of normal working hours’ between the hours of 10.00pm to 5.00am.

The scope of work included the stripout & demolition of all existing fitouts followed by extensive tiled flooring & expansion joints throughout, bespoke retail counters, display & gondolas, metal pan ceilings, partitions, doors, painting, signage and major upgrades to mechanical, lighting, power, fire & hydraulic services.
