RMIT University – B14 Arc Centre of Excellence
RMIT engaged INTREC, H20 Architects and Lucid Consulting to deliver the refurbishment of existing offices and fitout of a new highly-specified, purpose-built PC2 laboratory in Building 14 of the City Campus. This laboratory facilitates research into future low-energy electronics, quantum computation and communications technologies. Stringent atmospheric pressure was a key requirement for this lab, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of specialised lab equipment that was integrated into the accompanying operating systems.
Due to the nature of the project, lead times proved to be a key challenge. This required early procurement and constant coordination in order to achieve project handover. Our team acted quickly and collaboratively with H20 Architects, to ensure any risks of long lead time items were negated.
