With the frosty mornings and chilly nights, the INTREC team and Wellbeing Ambassador David Vaealiki have been focusing on natural ways to stay fit and healthy.
Dave’s favourite tip is 5-10 minutes of Vitamin D each day, which he enthusiastically encourages through lunchtime walks and stretch sessions with the team. Following on from Dave’s tips and tricks, each office had the privilege of listening to Lee-Anne James, an accredited Nutritionist, speak about the effect that nutrition has on lifespan.
Her take-away point was, “the world’s people with the longest lifespan don’t pump iron or run marathons. Instead, their environments nudge them into moving without thinking about it. Some small changes make a big difference.”
The recent opening of our gym in Sydney HQ coupled with ample stock of nutritional snacks in each office enables our team to make nutrition a priority in their workday.
